ADOT/MCDOT Adaptive Traffic Signal Control on SR101L
Description
Arizona Department of Transportation and Maricopa County Department of Transportation in collaboration with others will provide enhanced signal timing technologies to improve cross jurisdictional signal operations during integrated corridor management (ICM) or other events that generate atypical volumes or flows. This project will use new adaptive signal control technology (ASCT) to adjust the signal timing on pre–determined arterial corridors in response to real time traffic patterns and congestion near Loop 101 in the Phoenix Metropolitan Area.
