Gather information from Statewide Transit Service agencies in the state of Arizona to update and maintain the Statewide ITS Architecture for Transit services every 3–5 years.
Arizona Cities and TownsOperate transit center
Disseminate bus location and arrival information, as appropriate, to Information Srrvice Providers and the general public.
Collect, process, store and disseminate transit routes and schedules and fares.
 
Secure, monitor, maintain, and control all field equipment
Collect and send passenger counts to transit center.
Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS)As appropriate, coordinate and manage requests for transit assets for incident and emergency management activities.
Respond to mayday transit emergency requests.
Arizona MPOs and COGsMaintain vehicle location system
Receive calls for transit – serve as a regional transit call center
Respond to calls for transit – regional transit call center
Schedule and dispatch fixed route and paratransit vehicles.
Receive bus location and occupancy information from vehicle location system.

Independent School DistrictsAs appropriate, respond to, coordinate, and manage requests for transit assets for incident and emergency management activities.

MediaProvide support from the media for traffic and incident data.
Provide broadcast traveler information.

Private Information Service ProvidersProvide customized information on travel times, transit routes, weather conditions and road closures.

Public and Private Transit ProvidersSchedule and dispatch fixed route and paratransit vehicles.
Operate and maintain security sensors in areas such as transit stops, transit stations, rest areas, park and ride lots, modal interchange facilities, on�board a transit vehicle, etc.
