Description

ADOT Enforcement Compliance Division (ECD) utilizes certified peace officers to enforce transportation related laws and regulations.

This element provides dispatch for mobile enforcement for compliance, weight, and safety laws, including laws relating to the transportation of hazardous materials. Vehicles are inspected at the border crossing to ensure that they are legal. If they are identified as stolen vehicles and vehicle parts, law enforcement vehicles would be dispatched. Tasks also include: internal investigations and fraud investigations.

ECD checks all commercial vehicles (under the Commercial Vehicle Check and Border Inspection Administration Center) at fixed ports of entry to the State.
