Description
The ADOT Duel Use Safety Technology (DUST) System was designed to focus on dual challenges with visibility hazards caused by blowing dust or unexpected snow and ice. DUST provides early warning detection for dust and ice using environmental sensor stations with comprehensive sensor array and is equipped with a snapshot CCTV to verify low visibility conditions. If there is high particulate matter, they system triggers an email to the TOC. It also automatically posts a message regarding weather and roadway condition warnings on the DMS.
