25. DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST

Establish an Emergency Repair project

26. JUSTIFICATION

After a multi-vehicle crash and fire on March 13, 2025, there was significant spalling on roughly 215-linear feet of Portland Cement Concrete Pavement (PCCP); burned asphaltic concrete (AC) shoulders; damage to embankment curb; and, completely burned guard rail on each side of the roadway. This request is for reimbursement for repairing damage in the immediate aftermath of the incident, as well as for preparing the road to reopen to traffic.
