| 26. JUSTIFICATION |
| NW unit has identified failing vehicle detection systems at 8 locations throughout the Northwest region. TSMO has approved replacement systems at these 8 locations. Two locations in Yuma area, Two locations in Kingman area, Two locations in Payson area and two locations in Prescott area. Functional vehicle detection is the most important part of an efficient traffic signal. This new detection will be installed out of the roadway and attached to the signal mast arms preventing it from future damage caused by failing pavement and pavement preservation jobs. ICAP is included in this request. |
