| 26. JUSTIFICATION |
| This pavement life extension project will mill the existing friction course and replace it with a hot applied chip-seal coat and micro-surfacing. The work also includes spot repair, pavement marking, and other related work. ICAP is included in the request. |

| Update project scope and type of work. |
| 26. JUSTIFICATION |
| The ADOT Pavement Life Extension standard work was reclassified as Pavement Preservation. The project will not address deficient guardrail and barrier since it is a pavement preservation project. This is Minor & Preventative Pavement Subprogram project. Construction is planned for 3rd Quarter of FY23. |

| The existing pavement is in substandard condition and needs rehabilitation. This project will construct spot repairs and address non-compliant ADA features and deficient guardrail, as needed. Construction is currently planned to come out of the Minor & Preventative Pavement Subprogram in FY23. Consultant: $129k Staff: $35k ICAP: $16k |
