Establish a Study Project. |
26. JUSTIFICATION |
Increased travel demand on Baseline Road has strained the capacity of the existing Baseline Road and I-10 traffic interchange. This study will evaluate traffic interchange alternatives at Baseline Road and Interstate 10 that would increase capacity and improve safety. The project limits along Baseline Road are Calle Los Cerros at the west end and Priest Drive at the east end. The study will include preparation of a Design Concept Report (DCR) and an Environmental Clearance document. The construction phase is anticipated to be funded using Federal Aid, and is currently not programmed. MAG ID is 35709. Amendment #4 request to add this project to the TIP will was approved by MAG Regional Council on April 27, 2022. Staff: $200K Consultant: $1.836M ICAP: $214K |
