| Discussion about advancing construction of the F0715 Tucker Flat Br EB #336 to FY 2027. |
| 26. JUSTIFICATION |
| The Tucker Flat Br EB #336 (F0715) project is located at MP 248.99, which falls within the limits of the F0841 pavement preservation project which extends from MP 240.04 to 250.4. The team`s request is to advertise both projects as one construction contract to avoid having multiple contractors working in overlapping areas of Interstate 40 at the same time. This approach will also reduce maintenance of traffic costs. F0715 clearances for environmental, right of way and utilities have been issued. Stage V design plans are completed with a construction cost of $5,917,848. F0841 clearances for environmental and right of way have been issued; U&RR clearance will be completed on 073/31/2026. The Stage IV submittal is due 07/31/2026 and the planned advertisement date is 10/16/2026. F0841 is funded for construction in FY 27 and F0715 is funded for construction in FY 28. Both projects are funded through NHPP. Discussion is requested to understand if funding is available in FY 27 to advance the Tucker Flat Bridge project into FY 2027. |

| The Project Level Scoping document completed in September 2023 identifies milling asphaltic concrete from the mainline travel lanes and shoulders and replacing with stone matrix asphalt. Additional scope items include mill and replace on the SR 99 / Leupp Road ramps and crossroad; guardrail and fence replacement; seeding; drainage improvements; and bridge deck repair at the Tucker Flat Bridge WB (Str Number 01318).
