| 26. JUSTIFICATION |
| During field review, it was discovered that the pavement on Business Route 8, along the current project limits, has poor condition and needs resurfacing. This ADOT maintained route incurs heavy daily traffic and the construction district requested that this pavement be addressed with this project. The roadwork begins at the exit 115 and is approximately 1 mile worth of work. This will add roughly 1.5 million to the project construction. Additionally, the currently executed design contract amount is higher than what was originally estimated. This request also includes additional design funds needed due to this difference.
