| 26. JUSTIFICATION |
| The South Central Traffic Operations (Unit 6543) requests to upgrade 5 TS-1 traffic signal cabinets with TS-2, Type 1 cabinets and controllers along I-10 within Pima County. This Project will utilize PAG RTA STBGP funds TIP ID 3.22 to purchase traffic signal equipment to upgrade to current standards. There is a 100pct federal contribution, no local match needed. The Project locations include I-10 at Tangerine, at Irvington, at Palo Verde, at Alvernon, and SR 86 at Camino De Oeste. The Project will utilize ADOT manpower to remove the existing traffic signal cabinets and replace with the new TS-2, Type 1 cabinets and controller at the 5 locations. This is a Procurement project. ICAP is included in the project estimate. |
