The design team found that the construction of the roundabout would be more costly than anticipated from pre 30pct estimate, due to various factors such as higher unit costs, utility relocation requirements, and the need to acquire more right-of-way. As a result, the team proposed a change in the project scope from a roundabout to a signal modification with widening. This recommended modification will improve the SR 69 and SR 169 intersection operation. Change Type Of Work to: "INTERSECTION WIDENING & SIGNAL RECONSTRUCTION". |

This is a Minor Program Project for the intersection improvement on SR69 at SR169 in the Town of Dewey-Humboldt, to address safety and mobility. The Developer approved the JPA for private contribution on September 20, 2021. This request is for partial design funding. The amount of additional design funds and construction will be determined once the initial design footprint is identified and utility relocation and ROW needs are evaluated.
