| Establish a Design Project. |
| 26. JUSTIFICATION |
| Request funds for final design of the Jackrabbit Trail and I-10 traffic interchange improvements. The project will reconstruct the existing interchange and replace the existing bridges to accommodate a full tight diamond interchange. Additionally the project will widen the existing Jackrabbit Trail Roadway to a 6-lane roadway between McDowell Road and Van Buren Street. Project includes sidewalks, signalized intersections, utility designation/potholing, right-of-way, retention basins. Staff: $516K Consultant: $4.0Mil ICAP: $484K |

| Establish a Scoping Project. |
| 26. JUSTIFICATION |
| Increased travel demand on Jackrabbit Trail has strained the capacity of the existing Jackrabbit Trail and I-10 traffic interchange. This study will evaluate traffic interchange alternatives at Jackrabbit Trail Rd and Interstate 10, including widening Jackrabbit Trail from McDowell Rd to Roosevelt St. The project will include the reconstruction/improvements at McDowell Rd and Roosevelt St. The study will include preparation of a Design Concept Report (DCR) and an Environmental Clearance document. The construction phase will be funded using Federal Aid, which is planned to be in FY26. MAG ID is 15426 and TIP ID DOT22-017D. Request to change design funding from Federal Aid to RARF will go to MAG Regional Council for approval on March 23, 2022. Staff: $200K Consultant: $1.157Mil ICAP: $143K |
