| This project is 100pct State funded. SR88 is a designated state historic and National Forest Scenic Byway. Environmental Commitments requires having trained archeologist, monitors, present at all times while conducting construction activities within defined avoidance areas. Procuring the services of monitors needs to occur as soon as possible so they are ready when construction begins. There are insufficient funds in the design phase to procure the services of Archeological monitors and for staff charges for the remaining duration of the project. | Study and Design Concept report for the repair of SR 88: As per SB 1820, Item 11 of Section 33, Study and design concept report for the repair of SR 88, the scope of the project shall include the following; 1) Cause of current damage and closure of roadway. 2) Current condition of roadway and structures. 3) Development of recommendations for upslope stabilization necessary to achieve resilience against similar weather events. 4) Development of recommendations for repair of roadway and protection of historical structures. 5) Identify environment requirements necessary for construction of stabilization requirements both within existing roadway easement and outside of the easement. The State Legislature approved funds for FY22. ICAP is included |
