| Establish new project. |
| 26. JUSTIFICATION |
| This project will upgrade 411 HPS (high pressure sodium) roadway lights to LED (light emitting diode) in the southern region. Currently, 411 of our rural roadway lights are HPS. LED lighting uses less energy, requires less maintenance, and has a longer life expectancy than HPS lighting. All rural roadway lighting will be 100pct LED in the southern traffic and lighting region upon completion of this project. The plan is to have the work completed before the end of FY22. The luminaires will be purchased through Procurement and ADOT personnel will install them. ICAP is included in this request. |
