25. DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST
Increase budget.
26. JUSTIFICATION
This is a bridge replacement project of a scour vulnerable and fracture critical two girder system bridge with pin and hanger hinges. During final design it was determined that a detailed PA is needed to evaluate replacement alternatives. The PA recommended alternative requires new right-of-way and temporary construction easement. Requesting funds to cover the detailed PA effort, right-of-way appraisal and plans, additional geotech and environmental consultant costs. Staff: $250K Consultant: $300K ICAP: $59K

Based on the latest in-depth bridge inspection report, the existing bridge deck is deteriorating and the bridge is a fracture critical two girder system bridge with pin and hanger hinges. Given that this Bridge is also scour vulnerable, it is recommended that this be a bridge replacement. Request to change the Type Of Work to, "Bridge Replacement". Staff: $539K Consultant: $185K ICAP: $76K
