Establish New Project
26. JUSTIFICATION
ADOT was the successful recipient of the Wildlife Crossing Pilot Program (WCPP) grant WCPP-23-0014-AZ for the construction of a wildlife overpass, wildlife fencing, wildlife escape ramps, and double-wide cattle guards, on Interstate 17 (I-17) near Willard Springs Meadow. The wildlife overpass will be located at I-17 milepost 327.4 and the approximately 17 miles of new eight-foot high wildlife fencing is on each side of I-17 from Munds Park Traffic Interchange (TI) to Kelly Canyon TI.
