| Additional funds are needed for title work and plans preparation that were not previously included. The title work was more involved than originally anticipated and required extensive research to determine ownership and obtain the necessary records for the right of way survey. Two additional parcels have been identified for acquisition: one is owned by the Arizona / California Railroad and one is privately owned. During the geotechnical investigation, hazardous materials were discovered in Centennial Wash. Additional funds are needed for the expanded drilling and chemical testing to identify the composition and extent of the hazardous materials. Staff: $40K Consultant: $205K ICAP: $26K |

Strip maps in the project area date to 1930, the strip map to the west is dated 1932, and the one to the east is dated 1952. New survey is needed and due to the nature of the roadway alignment, the survey will extend some distance on each side of the bridge, primarily to the east to get to the end of the tangent section, per ADOT survey standards.
