| 26. JUSTIFICATION |
| Pima County has been partnering with the Department for several years to identify funding, expedite design and secure clearance documents for this project, in effort to align with the State project (H7583 01C). The State project will widen I-10 and make other configuration improvements at this location. In an attempt to reduce rework and construction time, the project team is recommending these projects are packaged as a single construction advertisement. This request will combine the scope of work and funding from the Pima County Project, Sunset Rd: I-10 - River Rd (T032701C) with the State project H758301C. Project plans specifications and estimates will be packaged together for contractors to bid on, however, the county will be responsible for all costs associated with their project improvements, as expressed in the IGA. This request is contingent upon PAG Regional Council approval of the IGA, providing necessary funding and all necessary clearance documents prior to advertising for construction. 408 Permit has not been issued, although PCFCD has determined de minimus impact to the ACOE facilities |

| 26. JUSTIFICATION |
| Pima County has been working for several years to provide funding, expedite design and secure clearance documents for this Sunset Rd project (T03201C) in effort to align with the State project H758301C. Several requests have been made by PCDOT management requesting the Department adopt their project and advertise as a single package for construction. This request will combine the scope of work and funding from this Pima County Project, Sunset Rd: I-10 - River Rd (T032701C) with the State project H758301C. Project plans specifications and estimates will be packaged together for contractors to bid on, however, the county will be responsible for all costs associated with their project improvements, as expressed in the IGA. This request is contingent upon PAG Regional Council approval of the IGA, providing necessary funding and all necessary clearance documents prior to advertising for construction. |
