Establish new project
26. JUSTIFICATION
The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) OSB Selection Committee has completed its evaluation of the OSB Program application and has approved the need for funding in 2024. The Sand Tanks Wash Bridge, originally constructed in 1900, requires replacement to meet the latest standards. The new bridge will be designed to accommodate AASHTO Standard loads, ensuring it meets current safety and structural requirements. The replacement bridge will be a minimum service life of 75 years and include an expansion to align with the roadway section of South El Camino Viejo to the east. The Joint Project Agreement (JPA) has successfully passed external review and is expected to be signed at the Council meeting in December 2024. TIP- PNL24-220D1 Staff- $45K
