25. DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST
Increase Construction Budget.
26. JUSTIFICATION
This is a complete bridge replacement on SR-80 over the San Pedro River. The major construction items for this complete bridge replacement are concrete, steel and the labor associated with these items. The average increase in material unit cost between concrete and structural steel, that includes labor cost, was about 40pct since the stage IV estimate was developed in Dec. 2020. Additionally ICAP increased from 9.9pct to 10.5pct.

Increase Budget.
26. JUSTIFICATION
This is a complete bridge replacement on SR-80 over the San Pedro River. The original PA estimated the construction cost for a complete bridge replacement at $8.75 Mil, however only $8 Mil was allocated in the five-year program. The requested increase includes additional construction costs based on the Stage IV design estimate and one year of 3pct inflation costs for June 2022 construction. ICAP is included in this request. Contingent on PPAC approval, this will be included in the FY22 - FY26 Five Year Program.
