| The existing pavement along the approximately 12 mile stretch of I-10 has a roughness index that is rated as poor and is reported to show signs of distress cracking per Pavement Management Group`s 2019 performance measurements. The project will rehabilitate the existing pavement. This is an ADOT in-house design project with construction anticipated in FY23. Consultant - $38k Staff - $396k ICAP - $43k |

| The planning level Initial Project Assessment (IPA) construction estimate, prepared in December 2017, consists of Pavement Preservation items, Miscellaneous and Safety Items, Traffic Items and ICAP. The amount programmed was less than the Planning Level Construction Estimate. In addition, the design contingency for the unidentified items and the year of expenditure were not included in the Planning Level Estimate. The project thus is currently significantly underfunded for construction. The requested amount of budget increase is based on the updated construction estimate for the year of expenditure. ICAP is included in the request. Contingent upon PPAC approval, this will be included in the FY22-FY26 Five Year Program. |
