This is an off-system bridge project for the City of Globe. The project will replace the structurally deficient Pinal Creek Bridge. The Off-System Bridge (OSB) Bridge funding eligibility letter was signed on 3/8/2023 and IGA was signed on 4/18/2023.

26. JUSTIFICATION
This is an off-system bridge project for the City of Globe. The scope of work is to design a bridge replacement for the structurally deficient Pinal Creek Bridge. Additional funds are needed to update project specifications, estimates and to advertise the project in FY23. The Off-System Bridge (OSB) funding eligibility letter was signed on 3/8/2023. The LPA requested 100 percent OSB funding to complete the design of the project. Therefore no match is required from the Local Agency. Staff $30K

The off-system bridge project was originally programed for construction in FY22. The current construction estimate exceeds the programed amount including the local share. The City of Globe has requested that this project be deleted from FY22. The City of Globe is planning to submit this project to re-compete for OSB funds in FY24.
