| 26. JUSTIFICATION |
| This project will upgrade 8 traffic signal intersections with new video detection along US70 from Reay Ln to 5th Ave. The budget will support the purchase of the detection equipment. Currently, the traffic detection systems installed at these intersections along the US-70 corridor are loop detection. Our plan is to use Miovision video detection system to replace the obsolete, capital-intensive loop systems. The Miovision system has the ability to assist with optimizing traffic flow safely and efficiently. ADOT crews will perform the installation and ICAP is included in the costs. |
