Decrease Design Budget.
26. JUSTIFICATION
This project will repair damage caused by flooding from Tropical Storm Lorena along SR88. The emergency declaration was on September 24th, 2019. Funding is needed to cover additional work for utility, right-of-way, and environmental. This includes increased efforts from staff for utility coordination efforts, designation, potholing, increased right-of-way coordination and negotiation efforts for acquisition. This also includes the increased environmental consultant fees from the original estimate. Staff: $36k Consultant: $38k ICAP:$8k

The construction advertisement is scheduled for the 1st Quarter of FY22. ICAP is included in this request. Contingent on PPAC approval, this will be included in the FY22 - FY26 Five Year Program.

The original scope did not define the open channel construction limits, needed to accommodate the 25-yr flood event. Additional funds are needed to acquire new right-of-way and temporary construction easement at the intersection of SR88 and Tomahawk Rd in order to construct the new open channel.
