This project will construct a 1.2 Mile Long NB Passing Lane on SR 89 north of Paulden, AZ. Based upon recent consultant costs for similar work, it is anticipated that additional funds will be required. Adding funds for Consultant. Consultant: $36K ICAP: $4K

This project will construct a 1.2 Mile Long NB Passing Lane on SR 89 north of Paulden, AZ. After additional analysis, it was determined that the project`s original location and length were not viable. The project location and length have been updated to MP 353.4 to 354.6 (1.2 miles). Staff: $53K Consultant: $388K ICAP: $47K

After further evaluation of the project area and traffic fatality data, it has been determined that adjusting the milepost limits from the original project will provide a viable project with an acceptable benefit to cost (B/C)ratio. Cancel project.
26. JUSTIFICATION
It has been determined that the benefit to cost (B/C) ratio presented in the HSIP project application is not accurate. The cost to construct the project is higher than presented in the application due to unaccounted for costs. The additional costs result in a B/C ratio that is lower than the HSIP eligibility threshold. The project is no longer eligible for HSIP funds. These changes will be included in the FY25 - FY29 Five Year Program.
