25. DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST |
Establish Scoping Subphase. |
26. JUSTIFICATION |
The scoping study will assess potential ITS Improvements within the defined SR 69 corridor. It will also consider a synchronized network to ensure signal progression with the adaptive signal system and the CYMPO completed study to implement adaptive signal control along this corridor mesh and are maximized. Part of the study would also look at existing fiber along corridor and the feasibility of fiber expansion to facilitate tying corridor signals into ADOTs existing signal network. The scoping study should also include reviewing whether to add a smaller blank-out-sign type DMS closer to Fain Road or review the feasibility of moving the existing DMS on SR69 closer to Fain Road in order to better divert unneeded traffic or freight movements that have destinations to the Chino Valley area. |
