| 26. JUSTIFICATION |
| The Final Scoping Letter was issued in October 2023. The project will consist of widening, repaving, and signalizing the intersection of SR 87 and Arica Road, drainage improvements, utility relocations, and new right of way. This project is funded by Legislative Capital Outlay Appropriation. Based on the Scoping Letter cost estimate, allocated funding will allow construction at the SR 87 and Arica Road intersection only. In coordination with the City of Coolidge and Pinal County, Arica Road has been prioritized for construction. The request also includes changing the project name to `Arica Road`. Shedd Rd intersection has been removed from the project. Staff: $125k Consultant: $417k ICAP: $58k |

| This project will design intersection improvements on State Route 87 at Shedd Rd and Arica Rd to accommodate upcoming development in the area. This funding will be used to identify the appropriate scope of work that will take place during final design. This project is funded by Legislative Capital Outlay Appropriation. Staff: $40k Consultant: $50k ICAP: $10k |
