| 26. JUSTIFICATION |
| The original scope was a steel superstructure replacement. During development, long term performance concerns associated with the original scope were discussed. It was decided to evaluate concrete bridge replacement alternatives in lieu of a steel superstructure replacement to address these concerns. A suitable bridge replacement alternative has been proposed and the team recommends moving forward with a bridge replacement. Additional funds are needed for geotechnical, roadway, traffic and bridge design efforts. Change type of work from "Rehabilitate Bridge" to "Replace Bridge." Staff: $500K Consultant: $100K ICAP: $40K |
