25. DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST

Establish Project.

26. JUSTIFICATION

Environmental Planning is seeking to develop a statewide archaeological monitoring plan. This plan could be used on all federal and state projects, and would replace the need to write a project-specific plan for each project. This approach would save the department funds, and would reduce risk, as these plans must be in place prior to the start of construction. Having a pre-approved plan would reduce the risk of project shut downs.
