| 26. JUSTIFICATION |
| Yuma County was awarded a $640K federal Rail Crossing Elimination grant to prepare a design concept report for three locations: Fortuna Rd. from HWY 95 to 28th St., 9E. from 28th St. to HWY 95, County 29E from I-8 to Los Angeles St. The County was also awarded $160K from AZ SMART as match on the federal grant. The project is being established to facilitate reimbursements from AZ SMART as the county is a direct recipient. ADOT is not expected to have any other administrative involvement with the project. The County will work directly with FHWA to obligate the federal grant, administer the project and request reimbursements under the federal grant. |
