Mobile Homes Overview
Mobile homes (MH) can be used as a single-family dwelling or used for commercial purposes with or without a permanent foundation. A mobile home is a structure consisting of one or more transportable sections including the following:
- Plumbing
- Heating
- Air conditioning
- Electrical systems
When the mobile home is assembled on site it must be greater than eight feet wide, and at least 32 feet (8x32) in length and is built on a permanent chassis.
A mobile home may be titled as a travel trailer when it is used for recreational, camping, or travel use. The centralized Mobile Home Processing Unit will process travel trailers being used as a mobile home and vice versa.
